ISRO to launch ‘Young Scientists Programme’ for students 2020 Registration Start Today
ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: The online registration process for ISRO’s Young Scientist Programme 2020 will start from today, i.e. February 3, 2020.
The programme aims at offering basic knowledge of space technology, space science and space applications to the students who are interested in the area of space.
ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Important Details
The programme duration is for two weeks, i.e. from May 11 to May 22, 2020
From each state and union territory, three students will be selected for the programme
Eligibility: Students who have finished their eighth class and are studying grade ninth and based on their academic performance, the selection will be made.
The two-week programme will be held in four centers of ISRO located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, and Shillong. Related: 10 Unique Business Ideas to Inspire You in 2019

ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Weightage for Selection
Performance in the 8th Std Examination: 60%
Performance in the 8th Std Examination: 60% Prize in school events organized by the School or Education board from the year 2016 onwards (like Elocution, Debate, Essay Writing….) at District/State/National/ International Level (For weightage the higher level will be considered): 2/4/6/10%
Total of 100%
Winners of District/State/National/International Level sports activities organized by School or Education board from the year 2016 onwards (For weightage the higher level will be considered): 2/4/6/10%
Scouts and Guides/NCC/NSS Member – during the current academic year (2019-20): 5% Related: How to Start a Business in a Competitive Industry
Studying in Rural School (Certificate of proof to this effect to be produced from the head of the school – Criteria: The school, where the candidate is studying should be located in Block/Village Panchayath Area): 15%
